Volunteer Program
Structured opportunities for long and short-term volunteers to support education, hospitality and community projects. We especially welcome people who have different skills due to the isolation of the community. Come share what you know!

Custom programs for student groups and researchers focused on education, sustainability and community development.
Chipatso’s impact on the community
Learners supported 58
Nutrition program feeds 50 full time atudents and 58 part time (boarding) students 2 meals 7 days a week
Families supported 40 plus 20 construction workers for the past 3 years
Community projects: Chipatso Lodge, Knighting Nutrition Center, Nelson Recycling Center, Chipatso Supermarket & Hilden Bakery, restoration and construction of 11 bathrooms, 2 urinal structures and 2 hand washing stations at Cape Maclear Primary School (included installing a water system and water tanks), shoe giveaways of over 300 pairs of shoes and an annual uniform repair/fundraising event at Cape Maclear Primary. July 25, 2026 will mark the first Chipatso Community Cleanup event. We have also made donations of electronics/computers to the primary school and help with recycling initiatives.
